The people with whom you surround yourself.
Are they negative? Do they make you feel bad about yourself? Do they inspire you to be better? When you need someone to be honest with you, do they tell you the truth, backed with kindness? Do they support you in your times of need (as much as they are able)?
-
The way you interact with social media.
Does it inspire you and help you make genuine connections with others? Or does it put you in the comparison game and make you feel bad about your life?
-
The books you read, the movies you watch, and the information you consume.
Does it challenge the way you think? Does it expand your knowledge? Does it insight fear? Does it foster compassion? Does it spark gratitude?
Great post! I think spending less time on my phone is my biggest goal.
Ooooh, what a great goal! Are there any things you’re doing specifically to help you spend less time on your phone?
I love this post!! I think I have been realizing some of these things especially how I interact with social media and how it plays a role in my life and my goals. I love the photos also <3
Awesome! How are you changing your mindset or habits around social media?
Our pastor recently said, the people you surround yourself will determine your future. I’m trying to make a deliberate effort to surround myself with people who bring joy to me and my family and it makes such a huge difference.
Yes! It is so so true.
Such good advice! I think paying attention to what you consume is so important, we are all facing such a barrage of input all the time that being intentional about it can make a huge difference. Your photos are stunning!
You summed it up so nicely!
I am working on always choosing gratitude & positivity in my life!
Yes! So important. Seeing the world from that lens will change so much about your outlook on every situation!
I love audible for feeding me with books regularly to continue personal growth!
Fantastic idea! I love audio books (and podcasts! so.many.podcasts.)
Definitely so true. It is so hard to get rid of negative people in your life, but I have made my social media super inspiring and I am excited about that!
Good for you! I bet it’s been really beneficial that you’ve curated it towards positivity!
Great reminders. I think that the people you choose to surround yourself with and the mindset you give yourself are both very, very powerful in dictating the person you are and who you will become. If you cannot get rid of negative people, you can choose how you will respond to them and what effect they can have over your life.
So so true.
The chaos in these photos is so beautiful! For me, I think my independent spirit has shaped me the most!
Isn’t it a beautiful chaos!!? Having an independent spirit is a wonderful thing!
