If you want to know where your heart is, listen to where you mind goes when it wanders. {Bernard Beyer}

I was talking to a friend recently who is super talented in many areas: not only does she work magic with her hands (she sews her own clothes, makes bread from scratch and all sorts of gluten free goodies, is super creative and crafty), but she is also a gentle, kind, and loving soul who is amazing with people, especially senior citizens. Like many people my age, she finds herself unsure about her future in terms of a career path. Life is not like it used to be where you went to college, got one degree, and had the same job for the rest of your working days. She finds herself daydreaming about making things all day, working on a farm, baking bread, sewing and being crafty, yet she is in a job where she does none of that. I’ve known for quite a few years that I wanted to be a photographer, but it wasn’t until I became conscious that my mind was spending all of its freetime obsessing about photography that I knew with 100% certainty that I needed to be a photographer. I listened to where my mind went when it wandered and I am so thankful that I did. Even though it’s now my fulltime “job,” my mind still wanders to photography...
in fact, I was up half the night because I couldn’t stop thinking about photography ideas!
