{Benefit Concert}
11.22.10
This incredible show came together through a group of very talented and generous folks to raise money for
Source Annex.
The Annex is purchasing a building that will provide housing and a recovery program for prostitution victims in the Twin Cities.
There is a huge need for this kind of housing as there are currently 65 women on a waiting list
who desire to be in a recovery program like this and have no where else to go until a space is available.
So, some creatives came together to put on a benefit show to raise money and raise awareness about the issue of sex trafficking in our own city.

Here's a little game for you: see how many different instruments you can count throughout the performance.
I'll give you a head start...here's your first two.

Cash, check OR credit cards, thanks to our friendly iphone app.

An elite selection of fine beverages.

The man with the vision...
(and a lot of hard work)

Heatherlyn kicked off the evening with her smooth vocals and deep-felt lyrics.
This woman has soul!!

And a kick-ass microphone ;)

Jake Armerding and The Brighton joined the stage for a rich harmony of vocals
and a depth of instrumental talent that made the audience fall in love over and over again.

I think it was around this time when the focusing screen just dropped out of my brand new Mark II and I freaked out.
Thankfully not having it in place didn't seem to have an effect on the rest of the photos (I just couldn't see through the viewfinder),
and later I was able to take the camera somewhere to get it fixed.

The harmony of these vocals went together like hot cocoa on a rainy day.

A violin show-down of epic proportions!
My Jingle Bells skills on the violin blush in the presence of such greatness.

The encoure of a lifetime.
The heavens opened up and the angels were present.

These last two photos embody what my soul felt like by the end of the evening... light, airy, hazy orbs of color.
